Empower Hope enables patients to forge a personalized path through our complex healthcare system…

How we started?

Empower Hope was founded with a simple yet profound goal — to ensure that every person’s care truly reflects their values, goals, and preferences. In a healthcare system often constrained by complexity, we are reimagining how technology can bring humanity back to care.

By combining patient preferences with ethical artificial intelligence and providing clinical insights, Empower Hope helps clinicians act earlier, communicate more effectively, and deliver care that honors what matters most to each patient.

Josh

Chief A.I. Officer

Josh Anderson serves as Chief AI Officer at Empower Hope, where he leads the organization’s AI strategy and development with a focus on building clinically grounded, trustworthy solutions that improve care delivery. With more than a decade of experience across Epic, health systems, consulting, and digital health, he specializes in translating complex EHR data into production-ready analytics and machine learning systems. His expertise spans clinical data architecture, Epic and non-Epic environments, FHIR interoperability, model development, and deployment into real-world healthcare workflows.

Before joining Empower Hope, Josh helped shape data models and interoperability standards for Epic’s Cosmos research platform, led cross-functional work around clinical workflows and data structures, and developed COVID-19 data tooling and predictive modeling solutions deployed through Epic’s Nebula framework. He later built scalable machine learning infrastructure and feature engineering frameworks at Corewell Health and helped prepare b.well’s FHIR platform to scale from 5 million to more than 100 million patients. Across these roles, he has mentored teams, advised senior leaders on AI strategy and healthcare technology, and built systems that make clinical data more usable, reliable, and actionable.

At Empower Hope, Josh brings a rare combination of healthcare domain expertise, technical depth, and executive-level perspective—bridging clinicians, engineers, and leadership to ensure AI solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with better patient care.

Chief Executive Officer

With more than 23 years of experience in healthcare administration, Jason has built a distinguished career leading strategic initiatives that strengthen provider networks and elevate patient care. At Health Net, he spearheaded major contracting efforts, negotiating agreements with leading providers across all ancillary specialties to enhance network quality, efficiency, and access to care.

As the Chief Executive Officer of Angel Care Hospice & Palliative, Jason leads a dedicated team of 33 physicians, nurses, and administrative professionals committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality end-of-life care throughout Southern California. His leadership blends operational expertise with a deep sense of purpose, ensuring patients and families receive the dignity and support they deserve during life’s most sensitive moments.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management and proudly served as a U.S. Army veteran, bringing discipline, integrity, and service-oriented leadership to every role he undertakes.

In 2025, Jason became the CEO of Empower Hope, an AI-driven company that predicts end-of-life timelines for patients with the goal of improving care and support. He felt deeply compelled to take on this role because of his background in the post-acute and hospice space. Jason’s connection to helping people is deeply personal and traces back to his formative years, where he learned the profound impact of compassion and service.

When Jason discovered how Empower Hope can help patients and families prepare, find comfort, and make meaningful decisions during such critical moments, it resonated with him on both a spiritual and purposeful level. ‘This work embodies everything I believe in—using technology to serve humanity and bringing dignity, clarity, and hope to life’s most vulnerable moments.”
