The Who, What, Where and Why

The work you’ll do:

• Create, implement, and assist in the development of scripts to automate everyday operations
• Monitor and maintain multiple (DevOps) environments based on client requirements
• Responsible for the configuration and setup of backups as well as set up of automated AWS patching for Windows and Linux platforms
• Lead program optimization to work within constructs of an AWS environment
• Manage system migrations and system upgrades to create and deploy new cloud environments
• Lead development teams to build and deploy microservices-based applications in the public cloud with Continuous Integration & Continuous

Deployment tools and processes

• Lead building and handling containers utilizing Kubernetes and Docker
• Mentor and guide junior-level resources

The Cloud Engineering Team Our Cloud Engineering team focuses on enabling our end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud, with opportunities in the areas of Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration & APIs, Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. We help our clients see the transformational capabilities of the Cloud as an opportunity for business enablement and competitive advantage. Cloud Engineering supports our clients as they improve agility and resilience and identifies opportunities to reduce IT operations spending through automation by enabling Cloud. We accelerate our clients towards a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions and Empower Hope-developed software products, tools, and accelerators.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
• 7 years of relevant experience working with cloud technologies
• Experience building and deployment of microservices-based applications
• Experience with designing and deploying AWS Services like Elastic Compute (EC2), Storages (S3, EBS, EFS, Glacier and AWS Storage Gateway) and RDS
• Experience with AWS storage encryption, data at rest, and data in transit
• Experience with open sourced webservices environments (Java, REST, and SOAP)
• Hands on experience with CI/CD tools and processes
• Subject matter expert with container technologies such as Docker, and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes
• AWS Certification(s)
• Security+ certification
• CISSP certification
• Active US Government Security Clearance
